This policy explains what information Zyng ("we", "the app") collects, why, and what control you have over it. Zyng is an event-planning app for planners and event vendors.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo, provided when you sign in with Google or a phone number.
• Event data you create — events, tasks, budgets, bookings, notes, and guest lists you add while planning.
• Guest contact details — names, phone numbers, and email addresses of guests you add. If you use the contact picker, we access only the contacts you explicitly select; we never upload your address book.
• Location — approximate device location, used only to show event vendors near you in the marketplace. Requested only when you use that feature; you can decline.
• Photos — images you choose to upload (profile photo, vendor logo and cover). Selected via the system photo picker; we access only what you pick.
• Vendor business information — if you create a vendor profile: business name, category, description, contact details, location, and pricing, shown to planners in the marketplace.

How we use it

• To provide the app's features — planning events, managing guests, sending RSVP invites, and connecting planners with vendors.
• To let people you invite (co-planners, guests) see the event information you share with them.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

Where your data lives

Zyng is built on Google Firebase. Your data is stored in Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage, and is protected by security rules that restrict access to you and the people you explicitly share your event with. Google processes this data as our service provider under the Firebase privacy terms.

Sharing

• Guests you invite can see their own invitation and RSVP details.
• Co-planners you add can see and edit the event you share with them.
• If you book or shortlist a vendor, that vendor can see your name, photo, event type, event date, and the details of the booking.
• Vendor business profiles are visible to planners using the marketplace.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account in the app — this permanently removes your profile, events, guest lists, vendor profile, bookings, and uploaded images. You can also email us to request deletion.

Children

Zyng is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
